Crapemyrtle, Zuni

Description: Zuni Crape Myrtle Trees can grow twelve feet tall at maturity. The top of the Zuni Crape Myrtle tends to grow large and round when properly pruned and maintained. Zuni Crape Myrtle blooms are medium sized and lavender in color. In the Fall the leaves become red-orange in color. This looks great against the gray to light brown bark. Zuni Crape Myrtle blooms look pleasing to the eye, light and fluffy. The blooming season lasts for several months from early summer to early fall. Each flower cluster of the Zuni grows upright at the end of a branch, and pruning Crape Myrtles encourages new growth and blooming the following year. The abundant small flowers of the Zuni Crape Myrtle are tightly clustered and attract birds and butterflies.
